Account Manager

Retain and grow the market of an international, world class financial software product in the Corporate market. The Account Manager’s mission is to provide support to the Corporate team and customers, upsell and cross-sell, as well as assist with new business development of our products and services in line with revenue targets.

If you want to:

  • Ensure that our customers have the best possible customer experience through the onboarding process.
  • Ensure highest possible retention rates with proactive intervention and managing the client exit process accordingly.
  • Deliver on customer retention targets through continuous value creation of the solution experience.
  • Ensure quality of CRM data in respect of contacts, client details, products, opportunities.
  • Accuracy of forecasting is essential by maintaining pipeline health and coverage.
  • Achieve revenue and GP targets as per sales plan.
  • Manage sales and renewal pipeline and activities accordingly.
  • Prepare timeous quotes, proposals and follow ups in response to customer’s needs.
  • Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge to ensure our products are well represented in the market.
  • Adopt the Caseware Africa sales methodology, attend sales meetings to report on progress against sales plans, log every interaction on and prepare sales feedback reports as required.
  • Ensure all renewals are contacted well in advance of software expiry dates.
  • Plan and execute on all daily activities to ensure set focus time on renewal calls, prospecting calls and add on business follow ups.

And you have:

  • Completed Matric
  • At least 1 year sales (either internal or external) experience in high-volume environments
  • Formal Sales training
  • Degree is preferred
  • Accounting software experience

And these essential skills:

  • Problem solving skills and ability to deal with potentially difficult customers.
  • Good computer literacy
  • Experience in working with a CRM system ( an advantage)
  • Accounting background preferable
  • Organised, focused and deadline driven.
  • Positive attitude
  • Combined “Hunter-Farmer” persona ideal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter who is highly motivated
  • Proven ability to excel under pressure in a very busy environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work across multiple projects
  • Mature individual with high level of emotional intelligence.
