Divisional Operations Manager

A unique opportunity for an experienced Operations Leader to play a critical role in the Caseware division. The Divisional Operations Manager role will rely heavily on your leadership expertise and deep operations management experience to ensure we continue to function optimally and cost-effectively. It will also stretch your strategic thinking ability and passion meeting dynamically changing requirements We are a leading software business, and part of the larger, highly successful entity Adapt IT, a subsidiary of the Toronto Listed Constellation Group.

The primary purpose of this role is to not only successfully maintain the current business platform and processes, but to improve and increase effectiveness where necessary. This role will also entail partnership with the broader group’s organizational strategy.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the leadership of the operations team of our division, as well as partnering with our Divisional Executive and the divisional leadership team members on the strategy and implementation of all business platform requirements. Therefore, a strong collaborator is key to the success of this role.

If you want to:

  • IT: Liaison with Group IT for shared infrastructure, divisional cyber security champion, divisional IT support requirements
  • Divisional POPIA Data Champion
  • Business platform owner for the divisional ensuring all systems and tools are in optimal working order
  • Legal Responsibilities: Manage the relationship with Group Legal ensuring all delegation of authority and required legal processes are adhered to, ensure all relevant staff members are trained and fully aware of the legal processes and policies:
  • Product Manager – Salesforce Platform:
    • Manage vendor relationships with Salesforce
    • Drive continuous improvement of Salesforce platform
    • Oversee any upgrades, improvements that are needed are completed and of standard.
    • Optimise the budget spend ensuring high ROI
    • Drive training and usage of the platform by all functional areas
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform
  • Optimise resourcing of Salesforce skills, balancing internal skills and partner relationships
  • Administration Responsibilities: Leadership and oversight of the Admin Team
  • Sales Administration: Delivery of product to client, Invoicing for clients, Processing of orders from all clients
  • Consulting Administration: Manage all consulting/ project manage engagements with the clients
  • Training Administration: Manage all training engagements on all Caseware products, both internally and externally.
  • Travel Administration: Oversee all travel arrangements and planning for all travel needed within the Caseware division.

And you have:

  • Degree/NQF Level 6 National Diploma in Business Management, IT, or BCom
  • 6 + years’ experience in an Operations Management role ideally gained within an IT / software / similar environment
  • Leadership / Team Management Experience
  • CRM systems owner (Salesforce preferable)
  • Financial understanding – budgeting and forecasting
  • Operational management (operations management; implementing best practices)
  • Exposure to Cloud products
  • IT Networking
  • Advanced technical knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Budget development and oversight experience
  • Finance exposure- budgeting and forecasting
  • Project management exposure
  • Understanding of the below: Salesforce, Pastel or Similar ERP, AWS, MSOffice/Teams, Networking, Digital marketing,
  • Online shop exposure – online purchasing experience & customer communities
