Junior Brand Manager

The purpose of the Junior Brand Manager is to drive the success of the Caseware Africa brand promise, products, and services in the market. The Junior Brand Manager supports the Marketing Manager in developing the marketing strategy of the business and collaborates closely with the rest of the marketing team in developing, implementing, and executing marketing plans.
The Junior Brand Manager thrives in planning and executing events, as well as driving campaigns that effectively reach audiences across markets, whether it is aimed at potential customers or retaining existing ones. The incumbent has a good understanding of business objectives, the product and services needed to realise them, and how to effectively execute those into marketing outcomes that generate high-quality leads, brand awareness and interest.

If you want to:

  • Drive effective execution of marketing objectives and marketing plans, in all relevant channels and mediums;
  • Own, plan and implement all 3rd Party and Caseware Africa events;
  • Manage and prepare event project plans, collaborating with the relevant sales and product teams, detailing objectives, targets, and budgets;
  • Own, plan and implement the production and delivery of all branded collateral and promotional material. This includes managing vendors, internal stakeholders and associated budgets;
  • Support the launch of new products and releases, and manage cross-functional implementation of these plans;
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to champion and drive best practices in event management/sponsorships and marketing.
  • Support the Marketing Manager on delivering Caseware Africa’s marketing objectives and brand management;
  • Drive Product Marketing success by owning and building a continuous understanding of all product offerings and customer behavioural trends; and
  • Partner with the Marketing Manager in the strategic development of client success campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to set targets that measure the effectiveness of campaigns and marketing return on investment (ROI) – especially for events;
  • Drive marketing lead demand generation that is not only meaningful in volume but, more importantly, also in relevance and quality;
  • Deliver reporting based on ROI i.e., focusing on both lead quality and cost of acquisition, with a specific focus on events;
  • Utilize data as a strategic asset and make effective use all systems to support the measurement of objectives and success; and
  • Manage the marketing expenses and forecasts for the relevant areas of responsibility.
  • Communicate marketing objectives and outcomes in a manner that is easy to understand and to consume by both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Support go-to-market execution by collaborating with Product Manager(s) and other stakeholders in the business;
  • Develop relationships with suppliers, speakers and venues to support event objectives and manage suppliers to effectively create event support collateral and overall branding and collateral requirements; and
  • Collaborate and work closely with all teams required for the success of marketing objectives and campaigns.

And you have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience.
  • Experience in a Junior Brand Manager role will be an advantage.
  • Experience in setting up and managing events.
  • Experience running projects with cross-over departments.
  • Developing marketing implementation plans.
  • Marketing experience within a software or financial business – experience in Fintech is highly desirable.
  • Experience in both established and emerging markets.

  • Digital marketing and how to use digital marketing channels well.
  • Product marketing and how to position offerings optimally and take new ones to market.
  • CRM and Marketing Automation tools like Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot, etc.
  • Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc as well task management tools like Microsoft Planner, Trello, etc.
  • Using data as a core asset in running effective marketing campaigns.
  • Good understanding of software and systems.
  • A strong ability to understand the impact of risks, issues that threaten the success of deliverables and how to coordinate efforts and collaborate with others to mitigate them;
  • Executing responsibilities that aligns, protects, and promotes both the interests of the group as well as the division; and
  • Building a continuous understanding of marketing and digital technology trends.
