Marketing Manager

The purpose of the Marketing Manager role is to drive success of the CaseWare Africa products, services and brand promise in the market. The Marketing Manager owns and develops the marketing strategy of the business and leads the marketing team in the development, implementation, and execution of marketing plans. The Marketing Manager has a deep understanding of how to effectively reach audiences across markets, whether it is aimed at potential customers or retaining existing ones. The incumbent demonstrates a strong ability to lead, has a good understanding of business objectives and how to effectively execute those into marketing outcomes that drives success for the business.

If you want to:

  • Own and lead the strategic direction of CaseWare Africa’s marketing objectives and brand management in partnership with the Product Executive;
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales, and support the financial performance of the business, by defining marketing strategies to drive initiatives that grows revenue and maximises profits;
  • Support the Product and Sales teams by creating marketing artefacts that helps to differentiate strengths from competitors and empowers Sales teams to position solutions effectively; and
  • Drive Product Marketing success by owning and building a continuous understanding of all product offerings.
  • Drive effective execution of all marketing objectives and marketing plans, in all relevant channels and mediums;
  • Lead the generation of content and the creation of all marketing artefacts;
  • Own and drive best practices in digital media and marketing; and
    Lead social media execution, optimising engagement, and reach.
  • Own and set targets that measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives – especially for events, campaigns and digital media generated leads;
  • Own and drive a positive return on marketing investments based on campaign and event performances, media investments, etc.;
  • Utilize data as a strategic asset and make effective use all systems to support the measurement of objectives and success; and
  • Own the marketing budget, expenses, forecasts, and overall budget management
  • Communicate marketing objectives and outcomes in manner that is easy to understand and to consume by business leaders;
  • Support go-to-market execution by collaborating with Product Manager(s) and other stakeholders in the business; and
  • Collaborate and work closely with all teams required for the success of marketing objectives, whilst also encouraging and facilitating inter-team collaboration;
  • Lead the CaseWare Africa Marketing Team; and
  • Manage individual team members

And you have:

  • 7-10 years of professional marketing experience of which 3+ years in a senior or management marketing position.
  • Experience running large scope projects with cross-over departments.
  • A strong track record of owning and managing a marketing budget.
  • Creative thinking.
  • Analytical skills.
  • People Management.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Business processes skills.
  • Attention to details

And these essential skills:

  • Digital marketing and how to use digital marketing channels well.
  • A strong understanding of both traditional and emerging marketing channels.
  • Product marketing and how to position offerings optimally and taking new ones to market.
  • Using data as a core asset in running effective marketing campaigns.
  • CRM and Marketing Automation tools like Salesforce, Pardot, Hubspot, etc.
  • Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc as well task management tools like Microsoft Planner, Trello, etc.
  • A well-developed ability to understand business objectives and how to prioritise marketing initiatives that supports them.
  • A strong ability to understand the impact of risks, issues that threaten the success of deliverables and how to mitigate them; and
  • An in-depth knowledge of marketing and digital technology trends, research, industry knowledge and changes in business environments.
